  1. Good to know more about you. I'm slightly jealous about that honeymoon in Italy.
I noticed in your last post you were trying to cut back on tea - do they want you stop caffeine all together or is this just for your preop? I can tell you I still drink coffee every morning and a cup of tea at night - so it's not bad.

  2. Thanks Linda, Italy is fantastic, we went to Venice, Florence, Rome and Sardinia. Being in the UK its really quite close and fairly cheap to get to.
Not sure re the caffine, I have a diet sheet to follow which doesn't make any mention of milk and I can't drink black tea, i've had some today but not as much as normal. Glad that I will be able to drink it afterwards, thanks for that.

  3. Hey Alison,

Good to find your blog. I'm a newbie bandster, it'll be 2 weeks on Tuesday I had surgery. I'm British too, but I live in Seattle these days. Just wanted to wish you the best of luck and a smooth time with your surgery!

  5. Alison - I am so glad my blog was helpful to you! I know many band bloggers helped me make the decision. And it was the best decision ever! I am so excited for you.

And jealous about that honeymoon! Just yesterday I was reading about all the places in France (among other countries) I really, really want to visit. With 4 young kids, it seems impossible, but I am thinking about asking for this trip for our 15th anniversary, in 1.5 years!

Anyway, I would not stress about the milk. Go ahead and have it. Most of those shakes have some form of milk products in them. You are not going to mess up your diet with a cup of tea!

And George is the cutest name. My DH's middle name, and I wish I had the nerve to use it for one of my boys - but it is pretty uncommon here. No more babies for me, so maybe I will get a grandbaby George some day.

So excited for you and can't wait to hear how you are doing!

  8. Thanks for all your comments, I love reading your blogs, seems weird that you're commenting on little old me's blog!

Hope that you manage to get to France, Gen. We're hoping to go to Brittany in the summer (that was before I blew all our money on this op! but we may still go.)

Glad that everyone thinks it ok to drink milk, I had a non fat latte this morning!
